4G World Sets For Asia

4G World, a conference and expo covering the entire ecosystem of next-generation mobile technologies, will hold its fourth event this year, and UBM Techweb Events Network (TEN) is planning to extend their reach to Asia Pacific region by launching in Singapore. Organizers note the importance of the region, which currently hosts about half of all mobile users worldwide.

The event will focus on key technologies and global operator business strategies that shape 4G network deployment worldwide. In Singapore, 4G World expo will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel from May 21 to 23. Last year. 4G World in Chicago drew a crowd of 8,500 attendees and 250 sponsors, generating revenues of over US$ 3.2 million. Aside from a show floor, it also features a comprehensive education program, focusing on the latest innovations in business and technology, with 200 industrial experts and speakers. By extending its reach to Asia, participants gain an audience with the fastest-growing mobile broadband market today, which is expected to reach 2.5 billion 4G subscribers by 2016, according to Pyramid Research.

TEN, one of the largest trade show and online media producers in the world, expects operators, service providers, enterprise customers, application developers, industry associations, and industry experts from other major research and media companies to join in under one roof to attend the event. The main goals are to enhance business insights and for prospective networking opportunities with other participants. TEN’s UBM TechWeb division has actually acquired the 4G World Exhibition and Conference from Yankee Group Research in February 13 this year (amount undisclosed). The trade show itself is billed as the “largest independent telecommunications and wireless event serving the U.S. market.”

According to Pyramid Research report LTE subscriptions in Asia Pacific will top all other regions by 2014. “We’re launching 4G World Asia as an open industry forum for the entire 4G ecosystem to facilitate an exchange of innovation and expertise focused on the Asia market,” says Berge Ayvazian, Program Chairman of 4G World.

4G World will feature executive keynotes, in-depth technology tracks, special focus summits and industry-recognized training programs that encompass critical aspects of 4G business and technology, including business models, strategies, case studies, solutions, value creation,  mobile cloud application delivery and cloud-connected devices.

The three-day Singapore conference program, pre-conference summit, and training sessions will include updates on the latest innovations in wireless business and technology and are expected to attract more than 1,000 attendees and at least 200 expert speakers, media partners and sponsors. Like any other similar event, it offers a wide variety of networking opportunities that professionals and enterprises in this field will appreciate.
