Malaysia: BookDoc expands accessible healthcare with partnerships in Hong Kong
BOOKDOC, a Malaysian online healthcare platform, recently announced partnerships with two healthcare providers in Hong Kong, Quality HealthCare Medical Services Limited (QHMS) and Asia Medicare (HK) Limited (Asia Medicare).
QHMS operates about 100 multi-specialty clinics in Hong Kong. Its services range from diagnostics, to primary healthcare and to day care specialties. It is one of the largest healthcare providers to Hong Kong corporations, recording over 2.8 million healthcare visits last year.
Partnering with Asia Medicare, one of the largest eye care service providers in Hong Kong with a market capitalization of over US$5 billion, allows BookDoc to be involved in expanding its eye care service facilities as Asia Medicare plans to upgrade its centres over the next two years.
“By collaborating with BookDoc, we will be able to streamline the reservation process and ensure access to us is only a click away,” said Iris Zheng, CEO of Asia Medicare.
According to BookDoc Founder and CEO Chevy Beh, “it is a vote of confidence on the value that BookDoc could bring to the table and a recognition that the way we experience healthcare will indeed be shaped by technological development.”
Following its growing footprint in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong, BookDoc users can now travel to these countries for health treatments using the app.
