Spur real innovation and take the NextStep 2021

Keeping up with change is a good start, but outpacing the competition is the next step. NextStep 2021 is perfect if you don’t know where to begin or if you’re looking for sparks of inspiration from those riding the ever-changing market waves. The rush of digital transformation and heightened consumer expectations pressure organizations to deliver innovation fast — what next steps will you take?
OutSystems is hosting the free NextStep virtual conference on 16 November. The pioneer in the low-code sector was recently named a leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Low-Code Application Platforms (LCAP) and placed at the highest position in the Ability to Execute axis. Gartner recognized product, innovation, and user experience as OutSystems’ strengths, noting that: “Its market differentiation is based on its capability to enhance developer productivity for building modern enterprise applications. In addition, OutSystems provides robust security, multi-experience development, and AI-augmented development capabilities to enable faster application development.”
According to Gartner, low-code is seeing rapid adoption among the business community due to three key trends: the democratization of technology innovation with more non-IT employees participating in the creation process via fusion teams; automation with orchestrated use of multiple technologies and platforms; and compose-able business applications. The research and consulting company also projected the LCAP market to expand from US$4.45 billion in 2020 to US$14.38 billion in 2025, with a 26.4% CAGR.
“OutSystems introduced the market to low-code development, and its evolution is what we’re seeing transform businesses around the world today. We’re constantly evolving our platform to enable continuous customer results, with a focus on serious productivity for development teams building serious apps,” said Paulo Rosado, CEO, and founder of OutSystems, which also received a 2021 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice distinction for Enterprise LCAP. “Being recognized by our customers and influential analysts further validates that we are helping companies innovate with success through software.”
Rosado will be opening NextStep 2021, sharing his vision for digital transformation and providing insights into accelerating time to impact through a “user-centric approach.” The one-day conference will reveal the company’s long-term vision, its product roadmap and stories of innovation under pressure from its customers.
OutSystems has offices worldwide and counts over 435,000 community members, 350 partners, and thousands of active customers in 87 countries and 22 industries. It recently extended its 13-year strategic alliance with Deloitte Consulting LLP to include cloud-based industry solutions utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) globally. As a result, their clients can develop and deploy new, innovative enterprise applications faster with fewer resources than before. The Dutch Red Cross relied on the three companies’ partnership to quickly scale up their operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“By leveraging the power of the OutSystems platform, the experience of the Deloitte team, and the scalability of AWS, we were able to develop a user-centric and future-proof solution in only a matter of weeks,” said Hans Goedhart, Provision of Information & ICT Manager at Red Cross Netherlands. “We’re now developing digital experiences in weeks instead of months, connecting over 100,000 people in ways that we didn’t think about a year ago. With OutSystems and Deloitte, we’re confident that we’ll be able to adapt and meet the evolving needs of 2021.”
The online NextStep conference is a must-attend event, especially for professionals directing, leading, or building the business and enterprise architecture. After the keynote address, there are eight 30-minute sessions scheduled for the day. For those new to low-code, a session with the OutSystems product management team will give an overview of how the platform works by combining AI to help build future-proof apps quickly.
Industry experts will be sharing emerging business trends, stakeholder expectations, and their visions of the future of software development. Subject matters range from delivering high-quality omnichannel customer experience and the 21st-century workplace to tech debt, intelligent automation, and core system modernization. In addition, there will be more success stories to learn from and be inspired by.
The free virtual conference is open for registration now. Check the day’s full agenda in your preferred time zone from EMEA GMT, Americas EST, and APAC SGT. The online conference going live on 16 November will be attended by people & organizations from more than 150 countries.
