Malaysia-based Meta Universe will soon provide a ‘Metaverse’ platform for enterprise

  • Anticipated to launch in July this year, the platform will offer a comprehensive range of services and solutions that enable enterprises to expand their existing business lines in the virtual realm.
  • Meta Universe focuses on three strategic pillars including Web3 enterprise solutions, academy on metaverse and Web3, and a global online marketplace for enterprises.

With every passing day, the metaverse is proving to be more than just a buzzword. In fact, Big tech companies today claim a virtual reality universe is imminent. In fact, soon enough, the metaverse would be a massive communal cyberspace platform, linking augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR)together, enabling avatars to hop seamlessly from one activity to the next.

The possibilities are almost endless when it comes to the metaverse and for Malaysia-based Meta Universe Sdn Bhd’s co-founder Khalid Gibran, it won’t just remain as a mere buzzword. “While progressive brands are increasingly becoming aware of the opportunities and possibilities that the metaverse offers, the majority of entrepreneurs and business owners struggle to grasp the fundamentals and essential elements of the metaverse,” he said during the launch of Meta Universe in Kuala Lumpur last week.

Meta Universe was formed with a goal to offer a comprehensive range of Web3 services and solutions that enable enterprises to expand their existing business lines in the virtual realm. “The services range from conceptualizing viable business models for the metaverse, blockchain programming, creating and managing virtual campaigns, purchasing virtual lands or even to build virtual communities and finance projects,” Gibran added.

Metaverse, simply put, is an integration of immersive presence in a virtually interactive self-sufficient ecosystem of mobile networks, augmented reality, social media, gaming, virtual reality, e- commerce, cryptocurrency and work environments. This universe is being envisioned as the future of the internet, involving the convergence of  AR, VR, and physical worlds in a shared digital space.

At its core, Gibran said the Meta Universe platform would focus on three strategic pillars: Web3 enterprise solutions, Meta Universe Academy, and Meta Universe Marketplace. The marketplace would connect SMEs and experts in the metaverse. “We plan to set up an academy to educate business owners and anyone keen on metaverse and Web3,” he added.

On top of that, Gibran said his team is confident in elevating the underserved markets and communities through its board network as well as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), “one of the fastest growing asset classes,” he noted. The platform, according to Gibran, will go live in July this year, following which Meta Universe would expand its network and open the services provided globally.

Meta Universe is currently the first and only company in Malaysia that will be introducing a platform for enterprise solutions with metaverse and Web3. More corporations are expected to join the fray as Big Tech like Apple and Microsoft are considering metaverse in their roadmaps. According to ResearchsandMarkets, the global market for Metaverse is projected to reach a revised size of US$758.6 Billion by 2026.
