HPE accelerating innovations for various businesses in the digital first economy

  • HPE Discover More event is back in Singapore for first time since 2019
  • HPE introduces platform upgrades and additional cloud services for HPE GreenLake to help businesses upgrade all of their applications and data

Everyone’s online now. The difference is that, unlike when COVID originally caused a disruption, the world we live in today is more of a “digital first” than a digital transformation. The rapid advancement of technology has changed how people communicate with one another, do business, and interact with businesses. This creates the “digital first” economy, which businesses have been adopting and residing in.

IDC predicted that such an economy will increase the influence of digital technology on the development and consumption of products and services, leading to the digitalization of at least 65% of Asia Pacific’s GDP. They also forecasted that by 2023, one in three businesses will rely on digital goods and services for more than 30% of their revenue.

Realizing this opportunity, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) took the initiative to advance this economy by helping organizations to drive data-first modernization for all their workloads, across edge to cloud.

For the first time since 2019, HPE convened its HPE Discover More conference series in Singapore. Building on the announcements made at the annual HPE Discover event held this past June in Las Vegas, HPE Discover More offers regional customers and partners more insights into the most recent technological trends and advancements in a digital-first world.

“We are very excited to bring HPE Discover More back to Singapore,” said Kong Hoe Chan, managing director for HPE Singapore. “This year we plan to take a step closer in achieving our expanded proposition to help businesses unlock value from their data and deliver long-term success in the coming decade to our customers and partners.”

Applications and data now live everywhere, including the cloud, on- and off-premises locations, and the edge. Companies are increasing their digital first initiative in this setting to create new experiences. HPE Discover More is the ideal setting for interacting with and advancing these opportunities.

Innovations for various industries in the digital first economy

For the past years, HPE has been co-innovating, cooperating, and collaborating with their partners to help customers push the boundaries of what’s possible. Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President & Chief Sales Officer, highlighted the 3 key factors in making this possible:

  • Combating climate change: Using artificial intelligence (AI) to maximize grid-ready electricity generated by ocean waves with no outward emissions or effects.
  • Living longer, healthier lives: Advancing mammographic screening with the use of AI and deep learning to enhance breast cancer diagnosis, deliver results more quickly, and lower women’s fear and breast cancer mortality.
  • Getting safely to intended destination: Developing software for the next-generation of autonomous vehicles that runs over 10,000 safety simulations every second.

“We are passionate about helping [to accelerate these 3 aspects] in our digital economy and enabling everyone and everything to be connected and sharing data,“ said Meyer. “Data is the life force [that is] essential for next gen operating models that really allow us to create new experiences across billions of moments to innovate.”

Meyer emphasized the significance of modernization that puts data first and how everyone should constantly be prepared for the data.
