Exabytes Network to diversify customer offerings for SMEs in 2023

While most tech companies are taking a cautious approach to their expansions in 2023, Exabytes Network Sdn Bhd is hoping to achieve several significant milestones with its 2023 growth plans. The cloud, digital and e-commerce solutions provider in Southeast Asia currently serves over 160,000 small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in 121 countries.

The SME industry in Southeast Asia in particular relies heavily on solutions providers like Exabytes to help them in their digital transformation journey. While many other solution providers are offering similar services to SMEs as well, Exabytes has a competitive advantage as its able to help them in their early phases of digitalizing the business. Exabytes currently partners with Google Workspace, AWS Cloud, Huawei Cloud, Microsoft and Freshworks, among many others.

In 2023, the company hopes to make the most of two new pillars that it invested in to diversify its offering to customers. This includes new retail solutions and enterprise cloud first solutions.

“We strongly believe in the journey of Digital Transformation and as a company, we strive to evolve with the ever-changing needs of the customer. For this year, we’re going to be focusing on enabling more customers to begin discovering the value of continuing to transform with Exabytes’ digital solutions offering, especially among small, medium and large businesses. This is how we plan to further contribute to the progress of digital transformation locally and internationally,” said Chan Kee Siak, Founder and CEO of Exabytes.

Siak also explained that in today’s digital world, the phrase ‘digitalization’ has become more of a cliché. Even though most business owners understand the importance of digitalization, only a few can put it into practice for the sake of changing the outcome of their business.

As such, Siak feels that telco providers and financial institutions in Malaysia should also play their part to support the industry by coming up with more innovative solutions that will complement the current digitalization infrastructure and elevate it to the next level. With new relevant technological innovations in place to nurture businesses throughout their digitalization journey, Siak expects to see further economic growth that will also contribute to the national GDP.

“With this, I hope the government will continue to provide necessary grants and training for startups as well as new entrepreneurs to leverage digitalization to advance their businesses. This will also enhance awareness of the importance of digitalization, which can help solution providers like Exabytes to accelerate further and set Malaysia to witness further technological advancements,” added Siak.

As it is with most aspects of business, partnerships are a key initiative to drive awareness of growth plans, relevant products and solutions, and learning platforms to improve skill sets and maximize the opportunity for digital transformation. Having that in mind, Exabytes has been actively partnering with global and renowned brands to ensure that its customers enjoy the best rates, specifications, and experience.

Exabytes helping with SME talent growth

Apart from helping SMEs in their digital transformation journey, Exabytes is also hoping to reduce the skills gaps most of these businesses are facing. And this does not just include technical skills.

In 2022, Exabytes launched the Accelerate Women Entrepreneurship with Exabytes (AWEWE) Program, assisting 380 women entrepreneurs in Malaysia and Singapore to improve their entrepreneurial skills while also helping them establish an online presence. Exabytes has recently launched Exabytes Academy intending to support its clients with knowledge of its products and user knowledge to enhance utilization within their team(s) on the solutions they have subscribed to grow their business.

Siak is also hoping to reduce the problem of mismatched skills in the workforce which can disrupt a company’s capability to grow faster.

“When you combine the growth in jobs with a smaller labor pool and workers who are just more selective about the jobs they’re taking, you’re bound to have a mismatch between job vacancies and job seekers,” Siak pointed out.

Siak added that there are studies that show that in the next five years, almost 150 million new tech jobs are expected to be created. Despite that, considering the rapid advancements in the tech industry, the World Economic Forum (WEF) projects that half of all jobs in the world will require a change in skill sets by 2027.

“Because of this, Exabytes are constantly nurturing the community with tech skills, starting from the basics through our ESG campaigns. Having that in mind, Governments and organizations must make talent strategy a key priority and take steps now to educate, train, and upskill their existing workforces.

It will also be up to the Government to put more relevant policies in place that will help potential job seekers of the industry find their place in the workforce while also making sure that the current workforce does not get displaced by the newcomers,” he mentioned.

Throughout the constantly expanding scope of products and services over the last two decades, Exabytes continues to grow across the region, which allowed the company to benefit from a whole new segment, not only for the good of the company but for its clients as well. With that said, 2023 may just be another breakthrough year for Exabytes in the region.
