Singapore Startups, Investors Get Regular Meet and Greet

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Singapore will host a weekly networking lunch for entrepreneurs and investors starting May 29. This Tuesday working lunch offers plenty of opportunities for budding businessfolk to rub shoulders and gain insights from the leading advisers, investors and experts in the Singapore startup scene.

TiE Singapore also sponsors similar programs aimed at cultivating entrepreneurship for Singaporeans young and old. The TiE SG Luncheon Business Networking Connection is one of the latest programmes from this non-profit organization that wants to develop more entrepreneurs all over the world.

The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. There are currently 13,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 57 chapters across 14 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.

Wannabe entrepreneurs, aspiring moguls, students and business-minded individuals with S$15.90 to spend can join the luncheon. Charter members will get free access to the event, while members still need to fork out S$5.90. Student members and TiE partners will have to pay S$15.90 if they will attend the luncheon.

Existing worldwide TiE members come from a wide range of fields: entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, professionals and students. Members also hail from a diverse list of industries including IT, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Banking and Finance, Biotech, Legal services, Hospitality among others.

The TiE Luncheon expects to bring out business angels, private equity investors, Venture Capitalists (VCs), High Net Worth Individual Investors (HNI), startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, growing SMEs, business incubators, business consultants, legal professionals, business technologists, CEOs and senior management.
